The creative process can sometimes appear to be a challenge. The purpose of this retreat is to give you a time and space where you can break down barriers to artistic expression. We will start with some classical methods of exploration in color and then we’ll break loose – throw paint on paper, make collages of precious things, and follow the movement of our artistic ‘spirits’. A blank page will never intimidate you again!
You need absolutely no artistic experience to take part in the retreat, and the work will all be very experimental. All artists in any medium are encouraged to come out and join the fun -- opening up to experience creates space for new expression in whatever you do.
Our daily routine will start with morning meditation with Karma Chine Wongmo on color and form and the exercises she recommends, followed by an afternoon and evening of following our inspiration. The days will be full!
What to bring: any arts materials you may have on hand that you would like to use, photocopies of photographs (10-20), a good note book, pencils, pens, enthusiasm and an open mind! Art supplies are not required -- there will be a variety of materials on hand for use during the retreat.
