those wishing to come to the DCC, with the intention of ensuring that financial hardship is not a barrier.
We now offer:
- A low income rate : for those members whose gross income before deductions and expenses falls into the LICO (Low Income Cutoff ) category as cited below.
- A Practitioner Support Fund: Everyone is eligible to apply to this fund which is in place to help practitioners with accommodation costs.
Spaces at subsidized rates subject to availability. A minimum of three spaces per course are allocated to the low
income rate.
** "Low Income"
is understood by the
Dharma Centre as income within the preceeding 12 months falling below the pre-tax Low
Income Cutoff (LICO) level as determined by Statistics Canada.

Dana Contribution to Course Leaders:
- It is important to note that most Dharma centre teachers do not receive fees for their teaching but are dependent on the generosity
of student donations. We recommend that $20 - $30 per day is a reasonable contribution in support of Course Leaders. Dana refers to
“a gift freely and joyfully given”, and therefore the giving itself and the actual amount given is to be determined by students themselves.
Note: While for some Course Leaders the practice of Dana
may apply, others may operate on a fee for services basis which may then be calculated within
an inclusive course fee.
